What is Cyber Essentials ?

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed certification scheme developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It helps organisations protect against the most common cyber threats—such as phishing, malware, and unauthorised access—by implementing five key technical controls:

1. Firewalls and internet gateways
2. Secure configuration
3. User access control
4. Malware protection
5. Patch management
