Dynamics 365 Business Solutions
Connect sales, service and operations through a modern business platform designed to support growth.
Sales, service and operations data that doesn't talk to each other.
Most growing businesses reach a point where their sales pipeline lives in one spreadsheet, customer service tickets live in an inbox or a separate helpdesk tool, and financial data sits in yet another system entirely. None of it connects, so every handover between teams involves someone manually copying information across, and management reporting is assembled by hand once a month rather than being available in real time.
A 60-user professional services firm we've spoken with was running its sales pipeline in a shared spreadsheet that regularly went out of sync between two people editing it simultaneously, while client support requests arrived by email with no shared visibility across the team. Neither problem was urgent enough on its own to fix, but together they were costing hours every week and creating real risk of dropped follow-ups.
For businesses with an on-premise ERP nearing end of support, the pressure is more concrete: the vendor has announced a retirement date, in-house expertise on the old system is thinning as staff retire or move on, and every year of delay makes the eventual migration more disruptive rather than less.
Underneath both scenarios sits a data quality problem that only becomes visible once you try to bring everything together — duplicate customer records, inconsistent naming conventions, and financial history that doesn't map cleanly between old and new systems. This is usually the part of a consolidation project that gets underestimated at the planning stage.
- Sales, service and finance data living in disconnected systems
- Manual handoffs between teams causing delays and dropped follow-ups
- Legacy ERP systems approaching end of vendor support
- Data quality issues only surfacing once migration is already underway
We scope the modules you actually need, then migrate properly.
We start by understanding your current process across sales, service and operations, and where the real friction sits, rather than proposing every Dynamics 365 module on the assumption that more coverage is better. Most organisations get the strongest return from solving one or two connected processes well, with a clear roadmap to extend later.
Data migration is planned as its own workstream, not a footnote. We assess data quality in your existing systems early, clean up duplicates and inconsistencies before they move, and map financial and customer history carefully so nothing important is lost or garbled in transition.
Security and access are configured around your regulatory context from the outset — role-based access so staff see only what their role requires, audit logging where compliance demands it, and data loss prevention policies consistent with the rest of your Microsoft 365 tenant. This is particularly important for financial services firms with FCA obligations and healthcare suppliers handling patient-related data.
We phase larger implementations deliberately, delivering a working module first rather than holding everything back for a single big-bang go-live. This gives your team a working system to learn on and gives us real usage data to refine the next phase against.
- Modules scoped against real process friction, not sold as a full suite
- Data quality assessed and cleaned before migration, not after
- Role-based access and audit logging configured for your regulatory context
- Phased delivery so teams get a working system early

Assessment and cleanup of existing customer, sales and financial data before it moves onto the new platform.
Sales and customer service configuration
Pipeline stages, ticketing workflows and reporting set up around how your teams actually work.

Built for organisations that need the work done properly.
Businesses outgrowing spreadsheet-based sales tracking
Growing sales teams where pipeline visibility and reporting have become a genuine bottleneck.
Organisations replacing an end-of-support ERP
Manufacturers and distributors facing a vendor-driven deadline to migrate off a legacy on-premise system.
Firms consolidating sales and service onto one platform
Businesses running separate, disconnected tools for pipeline management and customer support.
Regulated businesses needing stronger access controls
Financial services and healthcare-adjacent organisations that need role-based access and audit logging built in from the start.
What changes once the work is done.
What changes once sales, service and operations sit on one platform.
One source of truth for customer data
Sales, service and finance teams work from the same record instead of reconciling separate systems.
Faster, more accurate reporting
Management gets real-time visibility instead of a report assembled by hand once a month.
Fewer dropped handoffs
Automated workflows carry a customer or case between teams instead of relying on someone remembering to forward an email.
Stronger data governance and audit trail
Role-based access and logging support compliance requirements rather than working against them.
Reduced dependency on unsupported legacy systems
Migration off an end-of-support ERP removes a growing operational and security risk.
A platform that scales with the business
Additional modules and users can be added without another disruptive system change.
Why the implementation approach matters as much as the platform.
Dynamics 365 is a genuinely capable platform, but its reputation among businesses that have tried and struggled with it usually comes down to how the implementation was scoped, not the software itself. Buying every module on day one, migrating data without cleaning it first, or skipping proper role-based access design are the recurring causes of a project that costs more and delivers less than expected.
As a Microsoft security partner, we treat Dynamics 365 implementations the same way we treat any other identity and data platform rollout: access control, audit logging and data governance are designed in from the outset, not added once something has gone wrong. This matters particularly for financial services firms with FCA obligations and any organisation handling data covered by UK GDPR.
We support businesses across Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and London through implementations of this kind, and the pattern that works consistently is starting narrow — one or two modules solving a real problem — rather than attempting to replace every system at once.
This work connects naturally with our Power Platform and Microsoft 365 support, since Dynamics 365 shares the same underlying Dataverse and tenant security model. Getting governance right once benefits every application built on top of it afterwards.
Questions we are asked most often.
What's the difference between Dynamics 365 and Power Platform?
Dynamics 365 is Microsoft's suite of ready-built business applications for sales, customer service, field service and finance and operations, built on the same Dataverse foundation as Power Platform. Power Platform is the toolkit for building custom apps and automations. Many organisations use Dynamics 365 out of the box for core processes and Power Platform to extend it where a standard module doesn't quite fit.
Can Dynamics 365 replace our existing CRM or ERP?
In most cases yes, and it's a common reason businesses move to it — consolidating a standalone CRM, a spreadsheet-based sales process, or an ageing on-premise ERP onto one platform. The migration itself needs proper planning around data quality and process differences, which is usually the bigger piece of work rather than the software licensing decision.
Which Dynamics 365 modules do we actually need?
This depends entirely on the business. A professional services firm might only need Sales and Customer Service; a manufacturer might add Field Service and Finance. Buying every module upfront is a common and costly mistake — we help scope which modules solve a real problem now, with a clear path to add more later.
How does Dynamics 365 handle our existing customer and financial data?
Data migration tools and connectors handle the technical transfer, but the harder part is usually data quality — duplicate customer records, inconsistent naming, incomplete financial history. We build data cleansing into the migration plan rather than treating it as a problem to fix after go-live.
Is Dynamics 365 secure enough for a regulated business?
The platform includes strong security controls — role-based access, data loss prevention, audit logging — but they need to be configured correctly for your regulatory context, whether that's FCA obligations in financial services or data protection requirements in healthcare. We configure this as part of the implementation rather than leaving default settings in place.
How long does a Dynamics 365 implementation take?
A focused Sales or Customer Service deployment for a business of 20 to 60 users typically takes eight to twelve weeks including data migration and training. Multi-module implementations spanning finance and operations take considerably longer and are best delivered in phases rather than a single big-bang go-live.
